As of today all my "downloaded flags" have been reset.
We changed from winter to summer time over here, but I cannot imagine that being a factor.
Also this has not happened in previous years.

Covers have been added as of November 20th.
Today all my downloaded stories have been reset, including all stories without changes by the author.
So for me there is no way to see stories that have been changed/edited by an author.
I am not happy.
In that thread, Lazeez has acknowledged that the download indicators should not have been reset, and noted that the indicators will be reset from a backup in a few days, when the covers stuff has propagated. Hold off downloading for a few days, then you'll be able to see which have been changed.
NOTE to Lazeez - I think this means that care is needed to ensure that stories changed between now and the restore do not have the download indicator reset on restore if it was clear before the covers change, otherwise some indicators could be incorrectly reset.
