I would love to read a story or series where the mc is magical and from the era/background where they use swords, bows and all that, but the mc has the swords like kratos from god of war games where they are chained and burned into is hands/arms or something similar? Could be a truly great read.

I've read all of the bards tale, right background wrong type of swords, and the mc is magical. Aaron Whiterune is a witchlord so he is magical. Anyways the swords I'm thinking of are sorta burned into his arms magically and when he throws them at someone the swords are connected to him by lengths of chain.

Not my recollection of the stories. I do not recall Aaron using what I would call magical abilities. I don't recall any mention of chains. I do recall him being bonded to the sword and the sword coming to his hand when called, but no chains and the transport power is provided by the sword.
Sorry for the misunderstanding the story you are thinking of is thief of roses and such in that story there are no chains with the swords and the mc is magical and uses eldrich the story idea I was thinking of used swords that are like the god of war computer game.

To me, a magical MC is a person who uses spells, chants, and magical abilities to perform some act. I don't recall Aaron doing that type of thing. Being filled with eldritch energy seems different.
Personally I'm the same as you with regards to really magic I like elementals, mancers, mages and wizards that type of magic I would love to read. The magic Aaron uses is a different type where the use of eldrich and a word like stop combined creats magic where everything around him includeing time stops lol anyways no harm done and thanks for replying to my post.

Yeah, after you already painstakingly explained the main concept of the story line, there is hardly anything left for an author to do.
That's just the mc, the plot and stories are so much more involved and can be about anything in that era.

Lol no worries I like a lot of the authors on this site, I wish I could actually write stories I have the ideas for a lot of stories but I can't make the stories flow propperly :( anyways just thought it might be a good story idea?
