Quick question Naked In School

StaticBat83 ๐Ÿšซ

Is it okay if I were to have a story set in the Naked in School universe but have the character move out of the school and town after the first day for some reason, maybe her parents got transferred out of town, and then she no longer has to worry about the program? Some time after that she still has bad dreams or flash backs to that and ends up having sex with one or more partners? Maybe even ends up pregnant?

Gary, if you have a convenient place to put it, you might include a note from me that anyone who wants to is welcome to write about "Naked in school adventures". I love reading the stories other people have written.

They are also welcome to use any of the names from my story -- but, if I ever do write more about it, I do not guarantee to include anyone else's events.

I have no interest in benefitting commercially from my stories. I wrote them for my own entertainment, and posted them for others to enjoy. If anyone else manages to make money by writing follow-up stories, I think they will have to do so through their own creativity, and apply more talent than I possess, and so, as far as I am concerned, they are very much welcome to do so.

"No rights reserved".

As far as thrills go... it is *incredibly* thrilling for me to write a story and find others, like you, have written more about it, and that there are people such as yourself who are putting in time and effort in other ways, and basically, that a lot of people enjoyed the story.

Karen Wagner

That being said, the community that exists around it will be more particular in how it views the story. Which may also indirectly impact how, or if, it gets listed under NiS on SOL. They won't force a story takedown, but they may request it be delisted or renamed.

The "expanded NiS universe" is a thing as well.

The best place to ask is in the Yahoo NiS group.

Wait, so the "creator" of this playground allows any and everyone to play in it the way they want, but now a group came along, fenced that playground in and is demanding checks before anyone is allowed to "officially" play in it?
Sounds very strange and wrong to me.

Disclaimer: I have never read any story set in this universe and I have no idea about its rules, iterations and cliques. My opinion is based solely on what is quoted here.

@Oyster

Put that way, I totally agree.

As Karen Wager's letter said, anyone can play in her playground and as the owner of the playground she gave her permission with "No rights reserved".

Thus Yahoo's NIS group has no control over what happens in Wager's playground, although many people may choose to comply with their rules. Of course that assumes Karen Wager did not subsequently give them the right to control her playground.

On a personal level, I have read and enjoyed many of the stories, but have no interested in playing in the playground.

I've never seen them prevent someone from posting something. The worst I've seen said/done was "Well, you could go down that route if you want, but as it would be missing these things, we're not going to consider it a 'Naked in School' story, but might include links to it on our archive under 'expanded universe.'"

They won't prevent you from doing whatever you want. They're not going to come at you with a DMCA or threaten you with some other kind of take down request.

They just may not "acknowledge" your story as being "NiS" so far as they are concerned, and I understand they have some (limited) ability to police the "NiS Universe" here on SOL, so they could maybe delist you from that at worst. Beyond that, have fun.

Although the "delistings" I've seen happen here on SoL may have been due to the author themselves pulling their story from that list. As you're probably going to get feedback about any little thing somebody thinks you're "non-compliant" with in regards to NiS... Or htting you with requests/suggestions for other NiS items to make an appearance.

So in that respect, nobody is preventing you from posting a "Naked in School" story of any variety, but if you try to deliberately tie it in with "the Wagnerverse" be prepared for feedback to come back which is specifically tied to "the Wagnerverse" rather than what necessarily was in your story.

No author has any power over the NIS universe here on SOL. Only I have that power, and I don't enforce any silly rules on this universe. It's fully open for all authors to post in (as long the stories comply with the general posting rules of the site).

I don't know who controls the set up on ASSTR.

I had always wondered how some certain stories dropped off the NIS listing, from the above, I guess it wasn't a mysterious administrative power in someone's hands. It was the author themselves delisting the story, probably after reader feedback "made them do so."

What makes a story fit in the NiS universe?

I have no connection whatever to anyone able to make that decision, but as a frequent reader of NiS stories, I'd like to identify some characteristics and invite others to also list and expand on other characteristics if they choose.

First only a few students at a time are chosen to experience nudity, normally for a week, although sometimes their week gets extended and a few get selected based on their behavior for a day, or sometimes more as a discipline issue. There is a phrase, "We are all in the NiS program, only a few are actually naked." The program (or Program) includes "reasonable requests" that need to be accepted by naked students, mostly from other students between classes or sometimes at lunch or after a few minutes given the selected to actually eat something. Teachers can make requests that may or may not be reasonable and usually involve some sexual situations. The naked participants come to school, most often dressed and have to disrobe and store their garments before entering the school, after the first day, and can put them on after leaving school at the end of the day. There are stories that encourage "outreach" so that nudity continues after school. The week runs from Monday morning through the following Sunday, and school activities after school also require nudity, perhaps a school play, athletic event, musical performance or almost any other school program (perhaps a SAT test?) whether on school premises or otherwise. There is usually a period, often the first five minutes of class where masturbation, sometimes mutual or full sex are permitted as constant arousal is "hard" to live with. Sometimes only boys are allowed this period. Use of the opposite sex bathrooms and locker rooms and often gym classes are required. Showers with one male and lots of females or one female and lots of males are encouraged or required. Many of the stories have partners of opposite sex assigned to help protect the girls against rape or non-consensual activity. Reasonable requests need to be made and accepted before touching is allowed, in most stories failure to get consent makes any subsequent activity wrong and sanctionable, the decision on what is "reasonable" sometimes is a key to the story. Sometimes romantic attraction occurs between partners, but it is not part of the NiS cannon.

There are discussions on the ASSTR NiS site that go into more detail and discuss the positive (NiS is good) and negative (NiS hurt participants) story types. If anyone wants to write in this universe I will be glad to read their story. You might want to read a few before beginning a new story in the universe. As indicated in earlier postings you may get feedback, not entirely positive, if you decide the Program in your story differs significantly from the ones other stories describe. Strangely, Karen Wagner's original story does not conform in every respect to the current idea of what the Program is like.

What makes a story fit in the NiS universe?

The expanded universe is another critter. But for it to be considered "Naked in School" off the top of my head:

1) It must have a school setting present.

2) It must have the "Naked in School Program" present, and preferably mentioned by name at least once(some variation in naming is allowed, but it should demonstrate the same intent/purpose). Although characters can just call it "The Program."

Pretty much everything else is negotiable. So basically, to have the NiS Yahoo Group say you're not writing "A NiS Story" within the general outline of the Karen Wagner setting/premise. You're either deliberately trying to do so, or you weren't actually using Karen Wagner's premise to start with.

In other words, you probably either wrote a story about people getting Naked in a School. Which isn't quite the same thing.

Or you wrote a story that had people getting naked, but no school to be seen or even heard about.

IIRC, there is a very short(acknowledged) NiS story on SOL where the main character is 1) Homeschooled. 2) An only child. 3) Lives on a farm. 4) Is placed in "The Program" for a week(at home) via letter from the State Board of Education.

The MC shrugs, strips off, and spends the week naked. Nothing earth shattering happens, family laughs about it the entire way through.

@StaticBat83

A good share of the NIS stories I've read seem to allow sex at all times.

Which would be in line with the initial Karen Wagner story in many respects, well, short of sex in public outside of the classroom. :)

Her story had the biology class turn into "Intro to BDSM" over the course of the first week, and had the MC participating in a gang-bang before the end of the week.

...as well as most of the Female student body having their clothing removed/confiscated on the last day of the week.

Basically, if you do the "sales pitch" within a NiS Story, you give the basic line you'd expect from AANR(American Association for Nude Recreation) or the NAC(Naturist Action Committee).

But when it comes to implementation, it was seemingly created by a writer for Hustler. At least in most versions that get posted.

StaticBat83 ๐Ÿšซ

Okay lots of info. Thanks. Even though I was only planning on having a small part of the story take place during the NIS program this info will help. Would anyone be willing to do some proofreading and or editing?
