The protagonist and later his siblings were forced out of their village and work as mercenaries, soldiers and end up owning a castle or something.
Their village was ungrateful even when their father helped them defend themselves during an earlier battle.
As a mercenary he slaughters the mayor of a city along with his family and soldiers for killing his teammates to avoid payment. Later he is tricked and captured to be given to a city for standing trail. The mayor's daughter saves him from execution and the city ends up paying them the due amount of the mercenaries.
I think the story was named after him.
