I'm looking for a story where a girl, I believe named Abby, finds her roots in a small town along and abandoned Railway line. The station was at one time run by her late grandfather, who had committed suicide. The girl's mother had left home and never returned. The girl ends up restoring the abandoned railway station, and her grandfather's home.
