Need help remembering story about a young boy child on a Norse or viking style planet / environment. Very abusive upbringing. His father is the king or leader of clan. Story is about him overcoming this. growing up and finding out there is a galactic empire out there. He becomes part of it. inside of himself is also untapped major power. he starts accumulating items and crew members. He changes from a boy to girl along the way. It was a female author. Multiple books in the series.

but they are entered in a contest of some sort and you need an account to read them. i dont know if it costs anything as i havent tried it yet.
She's supposed to be publishing them through that site and I think they should be available on Amazon. Book one is supposed to come out first week of March I think. She's done some substantial rewrites of the entire thing as well.
She removed her stories long before that drama, its been probably 2 years since she started to rewrite them for publication. Looks like they should be coming out soon though you can see my other reply.
