Younger Men and Older Women

Is it just me or does there seem to be a real lack of non stroke stories, games and movies that revolve around a younger guy and an older women relationships. Seems like its perfectly fine to write a book about an older rich guy with a younger girl but it feels like the complete opposite is taboo and it gets harder if you remove any incest and or harem elements.

i have a big nitpick at how older girl / young guy romance stories are done on SoL and other websites and i don't know if its because most of the authors who write erotica on these sites tend to be older men who want younger women but it seems like its EXTREMELY hard to find a well thought out and well written story about a guy whose barely of legal age going out with someone his parents age and all the drama that entails.

Anyways i just wanted to get that rant over, i know stories like this do exist they are just far and few inbetween.

Art imitates life.

In the general population, for every older woman/younger man pairing, you'll find dozens of older men/younger women.
For every older woman/younger man relationship, for every pure romance, there'll be several gigolos, a few cougar hunters getting their freak on, and one or two cases of 'settling'.

And the reason for the harem issue: a lot of what you want (it seems) includes the student/teacher type relationships. Yeah, teenage boys generally want to bang the hot teacher at school - but the only stories where that makes ANY sense is in the mind control stories, and generally speaking if you let a teenage boy have mind control powers, he's GONNA have a harem, because he can't choose just one girl. So he'll get the hot teacher who just got her first teaching job, he'll get the lead skank -er, 'head cheerleader' - he'll get the uberhot geek girl who was secretly into him but she always hid that along with her insane beauty, and he'll get his best friend's little sister by accident.

I'm not sure those are the only stories where that makes any sense. The news is 'full' of stories where an older female teacher has been caught in an affair with a student. Yes, they're not actually that common, but it's not like they don't happen. We live in an era where everyone involved knows there's a strong possibility they'll blow up, based on the repeated instances of that happening. Yet it still keeps happening.

My presumption is that there are still plenty of cases that don't blow up, either because they hid it or because the parental reaction was 'damn, way to go, son!', not 'how dare you corrupt my poor innocent child!'.

Now, expand it to stories, in which the author has their choice of setting. No reason why someone couldn't write a completely plausible story about a teenage boy meeting a young (or not quite so young) teacher, then finding out they're 'soulmates' (true or not), and having an affair that either runs its course or doesn't.

I agree that it's far less common. I'm more just commenting on the idea that it makes no sense. Given that it seems to happen fairly often, I'd say it makes some sense.

No plans for that (yet) in my set-in-high-school story, but who knows? Very unlikely to be the MC, anyway.

100% Agree, that damn trope is in almost ever single coming of age story on SoL, at this point i'd say its worse then even the tami trope.

My whole point of this thread is that there seems to be very few normal romance stories between an older women and a younger guy especially from the male PoV with drama like meeting the parents and stuff like that cause god forbid someone does write a story like this the parents are always killed in a car crash lol.

Basically its like the childhood friend trope but it takes it a step further. Almost in all cases its about the childhood friend telling the MC she won't date him until he grows up and matures which is just giving her reason to sleep around till shes ready to settle down.

Novels like Summer Camp, Living Next Door to Heaven, OSL, etc all use the trope but it wasn't until Stupid Boy came out before the term "tami trope" starting making rounds on these forums.

A lot depends on how young you want the younger man to be.

Female teacher/male student happens in the real world, so it's not that far fetched.

I could also see a 19-24 trust fund kid who had a strong unrequited attraction to his own mother trying to romance an older(35-45) woman.

Although I could see your suggestion working in a way: trust fund kid comes home from Yale to find his father has a new trophy wife - gorgeous redhead only a few years older than the student, he tries to find something identical for himself since he can't outbid his father...

My suggestion specifically avoids incest. I suggested a trust fund kid romancing a MILF because of an unrequited, unfulfilled, unresolved attraction to his own mother. That isn't incest.

Who said desperately? You are introducing things I didn't specify.

I am going to assume that most young men with romantic interests focused on older women had a sexual attraction to their own mothers.

Bad assumption.

No one in my immediate family is hot or drew any sexual attraction from me but i was ALWAYS into milfs even when i was in school. My friends would be checking out the other girls while i would be daydreaming about the teachers and i can safely say that 20 years later even after dating people in all age ranges i still have a milf fetish.

Milf fetish to me is that older women tend to be classy, more experienced and more mature, think of like a housewife in the 80-90s vs any women from 2021 and there's your difference.

Hell maybe your right and i'm just an outlier. /shrug

In the last few years, I have played with the blocks in searches, and if you remove all the incest related stories, there really is not that much being published here it seems.

That is just how it is anymore. Most stories with MA/ft or FA/mt at incest, as are a great number with mt/ft. throw in the "teen", and it seems that automatically 2/3 of the stories involve incest.

Myself, I have to honestly say I am sick of all the mother fucking incest in here.
