Hi.
I just read the first story in the series and really enjoyed the kind of chill adventure that it was.
So I immediately started on the next story and read the first chapter. And the story got really fucking dark. Not just "oh that's kind of grim" dark, but "holy shit you can't go much darker than that" kind of dark.
So I was wondering if this sets the tone for the remainder of the series? Will there be more tragedy and misery spread over the series, or was it an exception, and goes back to the chill adventure and technological advancement that the first story was all about and did so well?
