Dual Writer

REP ๐Ÿšซ

I had been following Dual Writer's story LA Fun. This morning I saw that the story is now inactive and incomplete. There is no new post to his blog - yet.

I suspect his health issues have crippled his ability to write to the point he feels he can no longer continue as an author. Perhaps he may be able to hunt and peck a blog entry at some time in the future.

His latest blog was on 10/16/17

With the health issues he mentioned in prior blogs I would not expect many updates until he's fully recovered.

Yes I know. In that blog entry, he defined he was working on the next chapter. Sometime in the past 24 hours, the story's status was changed. It appears that he decided to not continue the story.

I believe the status changes automatically changes to inactive and incomplete if there has been no activity on it for 1 year. Since the last update was on 10/22/2016, it just hit the critical date.

Edit to correct wording in bolded section from if it has been activity.

I agree. I didn't think about the automatic change of status aspect until after my post. I sent DW a message to let him know the status changed in case he did not intentionally make the change.

I don't think that there is a way for an author to intentionally change his work to inactive and incomplete.

Granted, an author could chose to wait for that message to appear before providing the next update, even though he might have several completed chapters written and edited.

@AmigaClone

I can imagine Skip Niccio doing that.

I see what you did there...

@Dinsdale

Skip Niccio is the name of a character in a story.

Skip Niccio is the name of a character in a story.

It's been years since I've thought of that story.

A cruise ship that has a porn author convention. If I recall correctly, all but one pen name were based on pen names being used by authors active at the time it was being written. The exception was the author inserting his pen name without any changes.

Winemaker wrote that story, and yes - it was a deliberate "mistake" above.
NS posts new chapters of his epic on his own register-and-pay (I think) site, eventually they turn up here as well. His story, his choice.
