Native Americans

BigFia85 ๐Ÿšซ

If anyone knows any good stories that involve native Americans, I would enjoy hearing about it. Preferably something between the 1700's onwards.

Cheers.

"The Hawk & The Chipmunk" by The Scot is a good read.

Since there are only 72 stories tagged as "Western" on this site you could probably look through all of them as well:

https://storiesonline.net/stories/bytag/western

Edit:
630 stories tagged as "Historical" (https://storiesonline.net/stories/bytag/historical) which could include a few more stories that fit your search parameters.

I looked and found 800 plus (804) stories. The last couple of dozen were fairly low rated and didn't attract me based on their story description, but still, lots more than 630.

Interesting.
https://storiesonline.net/stories/bytag/ shows only 630 while https://storiesonline.net/stories/bytag/historical shows 804.
No idea what creates this discrepancy.

And on topic:
There is/was another story where someone traveled back in time and started living with the natives and started uniting the tribes. Only problem was that the author added aliens and too much future technology toward the end of what was posted of this incomplete story. Forgot the name and author though, so maybe you'll find it via tag or someone else will provide a link.

Most likely its the following however:

This fits although aliens definitely are involved like many or/all of his time or extra dimensional stories.

Your thinking Finding Peace by Celtic Cowboy

Yeah that was a good story for sure. But since this message was posted to the author's profile by the admin all of his stories will remain as is.

Could be Finding Peace by Celtic Cowboy. Incomplete, but still good. Others in the same vein (alternate history) include Will and Carrie by Rotendrachen, and Remittance Man by Howard Faxon.

Howie Randolph stories (Tall Grass, etc.) feature 20th-century Indian tribal life.

Two ongoingish stories that spring to mind are 'Run Away' by Dual Writer and 'Doc' by Kingkey. You might like to check out aubie56's stories - he writes lots of westerns and some of them have significant native American related content.

'Lucky Jim' by FantasyLover is an alternate history story set around the Civil War era where the MC interacts with a lot of different tribes in the Plains States.

Have read that multiple times. Great story.

Wild Willies An Unremarkable day and An Unremarkable Town have quite a bit a Native American content. Unfortunately he hasn't totally finished the last one yet. I dropped him an email a couple of times to see if there was any progress but never heard back.Does anybody know anything about that?
