The first thing I do when I sit down in front of my computer every day is get on SOL Imagine my joy when the first four entries were by authors I enjoy and follow. I can tell it's going to be a great day!

that is awesome! Used to happen for me but sadly there aren't 4 stories I am following right now lol!
Have a great weekend!

A lot of stories get posted. It's rare for me to find an interesting description. On occasion I will add a story to my library in the hope it might be interesting. Many of the stories that I do add get dumped for poor writing skills. That's probably why most descriptions don't appeal to me.
After a while, the descriptions don't attract me. They all seem to use the same blah approach rather than describe why I should read their story. The blah approach used seems to be to throughout a few salacious details in the hope the details grab someone's attention.
Maybe our authors need to take a class in how to write an advertisement, so they can learn how to get readers to buy into reading their story.
@Soronel
Have a whole bunch in my active serials library, but honestly most are dead.
The same is true for me. I suspect many of those authors had a good idea for a storyline, but found out how much work was necessary to complete a story. Or to be generous, perhaps they got writer's block once they wrote the initial part of the story.

I started reading many of the more recent and current top rated stories but lost interest and stopped...even those in my favorite genres :(
A few, Climbing the Ladder, A New Beginning, & Johnny Pulaski, I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapters or book to come out :D
But c'est la vie...that's life,

Unfortunately, there's only one I'm following right now that has a regular schedule. Have a whole bunch in my active serials library, but honestly most are dead.
