Argon is a noble gas.

His latest post is
"New chapter of DoN
Posted at 5/20/2021, 11:11:04 PMUpdated: 5/21/2021, 5:33:57 AM

This morning I posted Chapter 14 of DoN. Chapters 15 and 16 returned from editing and will undergo final preparation over the weekend. They will be posted together since #16 is rather short. That will finish the story.

I have no clue which of my ongoing projects will be finished next. My money is on The Story of Will Potter, another naval yarn, but from the viewpoint of a young man who volunteers for the Navy to avoid flogging and possibly prison. No knighthoods for that young man, but rather a landsman's rating in a tiny sloop headed for New South Wales.

Another possibility will be Hot Chocolate, a story in my Knights and Commoners universe, about a young merchant whose most popular merchandise are cocoa beans from New Spain.

Ricky Rover, often referenced and featured briefly in SRK, will also have his story told at one point.

Have fun with the final chapters of DoN!"

He's working on a story, I communicated with him just over a month ago.

Alive and kicking, just not as hard anymore. Rather busy at work. Two new stories in the works, but only about half finished. A substantial revision of In The Navy that will likely go into next year, expanding the early chapters, further reducing unwarranted sex scenes, applying the writing style I developed over the last years, and expanding the story into the 1820s up to the beginning of Ellen.
There's a silver lining though: 2 years until retirement ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Two years until you can draw social security and pension? I'm two years from starting to draw social security, but I have no intention of EVER retiring. I'll do real estate and woodworking.

Yea! More stories. I've read several of yours and am now reading Return from the Dark Side. Thank you for writing!

There are pros and cons to retirement.
If you enjoy the work why not continue. I did and then reached the point when I said that's enough.
Since that point I've had plenty to keep me occupied. So a happy retirement.

I'll already extend my work life for almost two years beyond my mandatory retirement. I'll still do some teaching and my job as a journal editor will carry on. On the other hand, no sense in overstaying my usefulness and welcome. I want my colleagues to be at least a little bit sorry, not elated ๐Ÿ˜‰

Extended story AND less sex scenes! I'm looking forward to that!
