Just in the early stages of trying to create a world for a story / universe that will cover 15-20 years, maybe a little longer.
the general premise of the world, currently just titled 'Dolls' is the progress of a boy of 14 to mature adult of maybe 40ish depending on how far I write it out. it will go to at least early 30's.
he inherits money from his wealthy uncle as well as a mystery device that has many 'features'. the device is intelligent and learns. it also has the ability to morph it's shape for themes under development. the first ones are so that it can communicate with the boy, the second allows it to hypnotize people. this is where his journey starts in creating 'dolls'. he starts by 'modifying' the girl next door and controls her, bending her mind to his will. as he amasses his empire of money and technology.
he develops ways to change the females in his life to be more doll like. like I said starting with hypnotism and progressing through methods going as far as genetically rebuilding and reprogramming them as fully custom dolls. I need to brainstorm many intermediate steps. there will be successes and failures along the way.
both are important to the development of the story. one failure in particular leads to 'attractive women' who are female drones his own private slave workforce. I am building up many of their properties at the moment.
what I'm looking for in periodic discussions to help me with this development process. and maybe a pointer or two towards writers I can look to for inspiration and ideas to stitch together a path from simple hypnosis to fully rebuilding a body at a cellular level.
