Does SOL allow images (.jpg or .png, e.g.) in a chapter? I've never seen it, but wonder if it's possible. I know you can put them on the (whatchamacallit) intro page.

Yes they do, unless you go overboard. I've a few stories with between 1-5 images within the story, usually maps and plans. See the link below for how to do it.

I guess you've never seen this story:

?
I saw the story when Spacer X started it. Wasn't interested.
His comments on the TOC page are somewhat interesting.
He claims 3.25 million words makes his story one of the longest erotic stories ever written.
Anyone know if his claim is real? As it is worded, the claim is not limited to SOL. I know we have stories on SOL that are much longer, but how many.

There's a recent thread about that: https://storiesonline.net/d/s9/t5834/largest-story

Large doesn't make it good. I started reading it years ago. I was actually enjoying it until I got bored reading the same thing over and over again. If he edited it down to a good story it would be significantly smaller.
ANY day-in-the-life ends up being huge, as the author tracks the characters daily actions, rather than focusing on advancing the story, though some are better than others. However, revising DitL stories is tough, and major edits isn't common due to the sheer size.
