However, before they'll let anyone into their site to check for violations, they insist on your loading Malware onto your computer, giving them access to your computer, which anyone would be a FOOL to do!

The point was that you followed a search result to your name to the specific copyright theft, as opposed to someone else going there searching for their works listed on the site. In other words, it looks like the listed books are a trap, specifically targeted at both readers and authors! :(
