It has been around six months since my prostate cancer Diagnosis. A few weeks ago, I was informed that I am in total remission now. I would call that good news. I just wish I could get over this flippin' writer's block.

Very good news, indeed! All the best on your recovery, and also on overcoming writer's block!

More than good. Great news.
I just wish I could get over this flippin' writer's block.
When having a block, one thing I do, may or may not work for you, is that I spend some time daily sitting on a couch upside down. As in my feet on the wall and my head dangling off the cushion.
Somehow, the excess blood in my head and the inverted view of the world seem to help in many instances.
Great news! I lost a friend to that a few months ago, so its nice to know that the monster doesn't always win.
As far as the writer's block, it probably just means something good is percolating in your mind and will erupt sometime soon. If your brain works like mine, it will happen about 2 a.m. some morning.
Or, more likely, when you worried about your health—just like fretting over anything—it throws your 'ju-ju' off. You'll get it back, yet you'll need time to recover a bit first. Stress is stress, whether a jealous husband, a piss-off-employee or a pending deadline.
Congratulations for Beating the 'Big C" may you remain around for many more Years!
Good Luck overcoming your writer's block!
May I suggest that at least three days a week sit down at your computer and just Write. Anything. Notes for a WiP (Work in Progress), or something new, or just lists of things to do, or you "Bucket List" of things to do before you no longer can.
I too am struggling. I have a number of things on my plate, and I don't want to post any more chapters of my WiP until it is Complete!
Too often I am just self-editing parts of the story. I know where I want to end the First Book, and key points, but it is some Neccesary parts before the end that just "aren't right"...
So, when I am not making progress, I write bits of other stories that I will turn my attention to after I complete my WiP. Those other stories sometimes "flow" while my main project is stalled.
Best of Luck.
Cheers!
Congratulations on remission. Prostate cancer is often innocuous until it spreads, so you are lucky to have it defeated before that.
See if your doctor will perform a blockectomy, where they surgically remove the writer's block. (Ask about the list of potential side effects first, though.)

A radicak blockectomy.
Don't want it growing back again :-)
