I set up the new contest and this time I thought we should try something new. The rules this time are:
The story should be about the Halloween Party and after.
A missing guest, an unexplained costume, a body that may only be a decoration, or a stranger still wearing a mask sets the night's final events in motion.
Did you remove your previous post rather than edit it? I ask as I know what your previous reply was, and yet there is no 'edited' tag on the post above, which should exist because you added the subsequent three paragraphs after the "Thank you".
Also, putting on a pedantic hat, should it not be "About a Halloween party and the after" rather than "The Halloween party and after" as it (the 'the') implies a specific Halloween party to be written about.
Other than that, consider your post having been given a thumbs up...

Grabbing my own pedantic hat, I would go with: "The story should be about a Halloween Party and/or what happens after it." I don't love 'and/or', but it feels like 100% at the party fits, and 100% after the party also fits, as well as 'the party and its aftermath'.
But, yes, there's not one specific party.
