In a WIP, I have a character, a girl, who is less than 5 feet tall and weighs less than 100 pounds. I'm trying to determine what her waist size should be - but all I can do is guess. Anybody know what an appropriate waist size should be for a girl that small?
Waist size 22–24 inches.
(I used 4'11" and 90 lbs.)

Not that I know. I just googled it and deduced that size from what I read on multiple places. They basically had to do with dress sizes.
And what I said was for a girl, not a woman. A woman's waist would be larger. Woman's child-bearing hips and all that.
What do you mean by girl? Do you mean a child? If it's an adult, I would expect an adult-size waist regardless of height and weight.
I read an article about women who wear very tight corsets and it claimed a 22-24" waist was into organ failure territory.

Even for an adult, height will have a significant impact on what is a healthy weight and therefore a healthy waist size.
A 26" waist will look skinnier on a woman whose 5'11" than on a woman who is 4'11"
