Moving stories between pen names?

Woofajuana ๐Ÿšซ

I don't know if this is where this should go or not, and I'll remove it if that is the case, but I was curious if there is a way to move stories between pen names? You know, without deleting them and starting over? My account is pretty old and I have stories from over a decade ago that people still enjoy. Many are inactive and have been that way for a very long time. I have been reviving a lot of these old tales, but I don't want to remove the old ones. I will just leave them, but then that clutters my page and I am reusing the titles. I have already begun the process of revival on one story before the idea of simply creating a new pen name and page hit me. (I'm not tech savvy, okay? v.v) There's already followers and such, and I feel that simply deleting it and reposting it is underhanded and cheating? Maybe that's just me? Is that a normal thing people do? Would appreciate to know if that's even a thing, maybe something the admins can do, or if I should simply go ahead and do the delete and repost? Feels dirty, though. I appreciate your time.

I believe only Lazeez can move stories among pen names. Just use the "contact" link to ask him to do it.

Oh, thank you! I was curious if it was even possible. I appreciate your time.

You may want to add a note to the start of Chapter 1 of the stories you add to your new author account to indicate Woofajuana was your prior penname, so readers don't raise the issue of you plagiarizing your story.

If I understand your problem, Revenge of the Nerd solved it by having both the old and newer versions of the same story have the same name - but, IIRC, with "Original Version," on the first story.

I remember an author saying that he had wanted to do that (two versions of the same story), but that Lazeez had not permitted it. This was a month or three ago.

I think there might be more to that situation, than what you describe Dinsdale.

Without knowing any of the details, I could see why Laz would refuse that, say, if he thought it was just a ploy to get 'easy' credits to a premier account.

If the individual in question already held a premier account, then, (just to annoy AJ) ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

The author may have been Rottweiler, his blog went over multiple pages a few weeks ago but the older entries have since been deleted.
In other words, I can no longer point you at the blog entry.

Who is well over the threshold for an author premier account, so it can't be that ...

@Woofajuana

The other way round it, is to simply re-name your old pen-name to something more applicable. Like, from whatever the pseudonym was to "Early Woofajuana" or "Woofajuana- my early work".

That way, nothing changes, nothing needs to be moved and nothing is disturbed and everyone knows the work is yours. There are certain things Laz is unable to do, like combine stories and merge the comments for both together (I asked on the other site for that).
