I have a number of stories I'd like to post but I am very confused about the process. I have a attempted to post a story, I went to the submission page, entering the title and all the relevant codes, adding the text and following the prompts. I am now at a page that says "Make a new submission" Underneath that is the title "Submission Shortcuts" and my story is listed there. I may be slow but how do I submit my story to the site from here.

I believe your story is now in the queue for management to complete the process of making the story available to readers.
'make a new submission' is asking if there's another story you wish to submit besides the one(s) you've already submitted.

There is nothing in the queue. You need to start a submission and follow the instruction in my previous post above this one.

You clicked the 'Save as shortcut' button.
In the submission system, for each step, always click 'Next' inside the step unless it's not there. Each step has its instructions listed, if confused, read the instructions, but to progress through the submission process, always look for 'Next'.
The shortcut system allows you to save steps in many ways. For example, if you click the 'New Post' link in the shortcut row that you created, you can start a new story submission with the info you already submitted.
The buttons at the bottom of the form are for actions related to the whole thing, like 'Cancel Submission' or 'Save As shortcut'.

If it is any consolation, many people who post stories here have similar problems, and Laz has to provide a bit of assistance. I made More than my "share" of mistakes!
The system works well, it is a people problem.
