Finding an Editor

slutsarah 🚫

First let me say Sorry. I have not been posting here since the forum moved from google groups as I no longer see messages every day in my email. I didn't post much on google either so in some respects I'm a newby.

I finally got a good bit of my first book written and want an editor to read and comment. The complication is that being British I'm writing in British English and I don't want a bunch of comments about spelling from an American or an Australian who spell differently.

What is the best way to find a suitable editor? Is there a place for volunteers?

Sarah

Updated:

Under the Authors / Editors tab there is a link for "find an editor." Some of the volunteer editors say on their profiles whether they prefer British English.

You may want to try the Editors and Reviewers Hangout also. If nothing else, someone may steer you toward the type of editor you want.
