Any word on Tony Tiger

Daler ๐Ÿšซ

I read Tony Tiger had been moved to hospice and he hasn't responded to my messages. Has anyone heard from him since? Wonder if he overcame his cancer or if it ended up taking him in the end? Does this site have a list of lost authors that is available to the public readers?

Not on this site but there is ReaderInfo.net that tries to keep track of missing authors and editors. You can ask for missing authors to be added but read the conditions first.

ETA: there's also a link on the home page in the 'Links' section called 'Author Info' which leads to ReaderInfo.net.

Thanks for the info. Just checked that site. He's not on it but not sure if that means anything. Thanks again.

If an author is not listed on the ReaderInfo website, it means one of 3 things:

1. No one has requested that the author be added to the website.

2. The author did not meet the requirements for being added to the website.

3. The people who support the website are in the process of adding the author to the listing.

In the case of Tony Tiger, his last contact with the SOL community appears to have been his blog entry on 3/5/2021. As one of the 3 people who support that website, I know that the current reason he has not been added to the ReaderInfo website is no one has requested that he be added to the listing of inactive readers.

Solreader50 stated in a 3/26/2022 forum post:

"I fear for Tony Tiger. His last blog a year ago said he was going into a hospice and not many people come out of a hospice alive. 710 stories and the last one from 02/2021 does not make me hopeful. RIP."

Personally, I agree with Solreader50. There is a high probability that Tony Tiger is no longer with us based on the content of his last blog entry. Although once we have been requested to list him on the website, his Contributor's Page will indicate his status as Unknown, unless we obtain confirmation of his death.

Thanks for the insight. I only ask as I had been messaging him some back then and haven't heard back from him in ages. He had a serious cancer and apparently they'd run out of useful meds to administer. My guess is he didn't come out of hospice on the living side but I don't have his real info so no way of knowing for sure.

But he was an enthusiastic writer while active here. Very passionate and hard working. I think he posted over 700 stories and he was very, very encouraging to new authors that posted here. He always had an upbeat message for me after any chapter I posted, whether it was shit even.

I'm hoping he's alright, but he'll be missed if he's gone. In all likelihood, another good old boy bit the dust. Hopefully his writing keeps his memory going, if that's indeed the case.
