I did that. Do I just type in the name of the titles in the box at the bottom or does it automatically pull my stories in with the title containing The Windy Pines?

Give your universe a name and description, and then click Save.

Clicking Universe again will show your universe and allow you to add a story or Series to the universe.

If all you are going to do is group related stories, then this can be done with a Series or a Universe. The primary difference between a Universe and a Series is, Universes can contain one of more stories and one or more Series that are related to the Universes description. You can also create a Series outside of a universe to group related stories.

Series are used to group stories that are related to each other. If your universe is not going to include 2 or more groups of related stories, there is no need to create a Series within the universe.

I believe there's often also a chronological connotation associated with a series.
