Looking for stories that were inspired by the swarm universe but are not part of the swarm universe.
I remember one but not the title or author,,, iirc the mc's got .1 on their cap? they were mega brainiacs and screwed with the testing...

Odd. I did a story much like that.
The premise was, since everyone knows it's impossible to fake your score on the CAP test (which everyone tries to get a higher score on) the MC decided to respond in such a way as to get the lowest score possible (which the AI running the test would recognize as not being a accurate reflection of his actual score) in order to get the AI's attention for a chat.
I don't remember releasing it beyond a couple test-readers tho. It would've been wildly non-canon because of some of the other ideas in it (including humans making first contact with some alien races the Confederacy didn't deem worth bothering with, and archeological studies of civilizations that had killed themselves off, etc.)
