Strange stories

Nuff_Said ๐Ÿšซ

bizzare stories, do you have them? For example, where sex and erotic parts are kind of "background", but not the focus. Or something else. I am not meaning a stuttering dislexic trying to explain an orgy or just author not making up their mind about next paragraph. Suggest me something strange, please. Thank you.

I wonder if https://storiesonline.net/s/16651/the-black-rabbit (75 chapters but incomplete) is strange enough for you.
https://storiesonline.net/a/barbar is very good at "strange", but virtually zero sex.
https://storiesonline.net/a/dstar contains a lot of strange, but only one completed story. They were written by a husband and wife team and she is no longer around so they are not going to be completed.

Can you give us a little more information? Maybe an example or three? Strange means different things to different people. I will say that Dinsdale's inclusion of dstar's stories should handle strange for most of us, but, as he said, unfinished. I just reread what's there of Sonuachara simply because what's already there makes a good story.

Maybe the stories collected in Les Lumen's series The Fey Folk? They're gentle stories, but with a twist or two.

I was thinking more about 'strange sexuality' types. Like parallel worlds with different view on sex, or where lewd/notlewd doesnt follow linear logic.
I was also thinking about writing style where "smut" is kept in the background, not rubbed in the face. Like, author not mentioning some clothes on character means those are absent, and the reader suddenly realises that some characters were (partially)naked all the time.
I understand that this whole 'strange' request is just too vague, but I myself struggle with defining it, and then it would be a (niche) genre.

So something like Ursula K. Le Guin's Left Hand of Darkness where gender-fluidity is the norm on the planet (can't remember the name of the planet, but not earth)? Dead tree, of course.

Brian in the Dark's Dizyntk Imperium has some aspects, but it's generally told from a human perspective rather than being treated as normal.

Not coming up with much else, though.

It was pointed out to me that, of course, it's also available in ebook formats. My point was simply that it was originally print only and it's still in copyright, so ebooks should cost at least some $$.

That reminded me of another of her stories, though, that is available free and it's strange, too. The Ones Who Walk Away From Omelas is available as a free pdf in multiple places. Note, it's a disquieting story, but one we should all, maybe, read and reflect upon.

Oh, I can only wholeheartedly second such a request/wish! I would be very interested in reading such stories. Invisible nudity is something like a bit of secret fetish of mine, but it gets very little food, even from my own fantasies.

The Vodou Physicist by Ndenyal is reasonably weird.

You might find something you like in Stultus's works.

Dead tree novel.
A Brother's Price by Wen Spencer. A psuedo-western, alternate reality. Big gender imbalance, resulting in a complete role reversal. Women protect the men, etc.

You are reading and suddenly your brain gets twisted up on the concept of brave, weak young MAN being threatened by the big scary rough women.

Also in dead tree press, Glory Season by David Brinn is another weird take. On the planet of the story women normally reproduce by parthenogenesis, but require a male to 'spark' the reproduction cycle. Rarely does a sperm enter an ovum, creating either a male or a non-clone female. Men and boys live apart from women, mainly at sea. Non-clone women are raised to adults, then kicked out of the clone nest. Politics is a reoccurring cycle of non clones banding together to overthrow the clones, who hoard resources within their clone groups, much like aristocrats. Having overthrown the existing order the non-clones proceed to clone themselves.

Al Steiner's "A Perfect World" series might fit your needs. The main character has his body frozen on death and is awoken in the future on a colonised Mars.
