Long finished romances with break ups?

mrfriendly8181 ๐Ÿšซ

I don't know if these exist and I don't know how to search for them. I am looking for stories where the male MC (can be two perspectives) falls in love and dates a girl/woman, then they break up, and eventually find their way back to each other.

I've read everything Jay Cantrell has written (that is finished), also read Don Lockwood, BlackRandi, Just Plain Bob, and a lot of other authors. Would like recommendations from other authors that I may have missed.

Thank you for all your help.

The Wanderer, who also writes as Denham Forrest.

Douglas Fox has some stories which you might like in his Life in Paradise series, covering the lives of Kyle and Andy Martin.

There's a three story arc starting with Finding Balance covering Kyle in High School, and his college career in Lost and Found which have elements you want.

Also, Will You Be our Mommy covers similar territory with Andy.

Caveat: These stories are not for you if you dislike American Football.

My mind also threw up oddball stories if you can stand do-overs and some are very unconventional - like the couple being parted by death.

FantasyLover has a story called The Methuselah Complex.

rlfj had his protagonist in A Fresh Start hunt down his late wife.

Charlie Foxtrot has his MC in A New Past go slightly bananas when his wife dies and he hunts for a way to see her again.

And finally, although never truly broken up and reunited, Sage Mullin's Lightning in a Bottle has two souls seek each other out after a bitter first meeting.

The last lot need you to look at them from a certain perspective to get what you are seeking.

A number of Argon's stories fit that one. In fact, if you look at the index of his stories (standard sorting), stories 2, 4 (sort of), 6, 9, 12, 13, 14, 18, 22 and 26 all fit. I'll hope you understand that I don't feel like copying and pasting all of those links.
Oh, and once he posts a new story (there are a couple in the works), those numbers are history.

IIRC, Always Raining specialises in this sort of story.
