I'm able to wander around SOL with no problems but when I click on Bookapy, Finestories or Scifistories from the home page, it gets stuck on trying to connect.
ETA I can get to scifistories.com by typing the address in the address bar, but from there I can't get to finestories or bookapy. I think there might be a problem with the WLPC login process.

I am having problems with log-in. When I go to SOL, I am not automatically logged in. After manually logging in, I go to the forum and all posts show up as unread.

That means all the site's data has been deleted from your browser. If you browse the site with a private/incognito tab, then that happens. Also if your security software is set to remove all browsing data and databases for sites then you would also lose the forum data.
When that happens there is nothing that I can do on my end to fix it. You're telling your browser or security software to wipe everything.
To fix it, you need to browse the site with a normal window/tab and configure your security to not mess with the site's data (cookies and localstorage database).

Did you change account? Did you somehow switch to the mobile theme?
Usually if you set your theme it sticks. The only place in the whole engine that could update the theme setting is the theme selector.
Have you tried re-selecting the theme you want? Didn't work?

SFS was set to modern dark (I thought) but it showed as Modern w/auto-dark, FS was set to Classic, showed as Modern Light.
Again, I don't care much, changes seem to work when I'm there, just noticed the variance. I'm not at either site enough to worry about it. Bookapy looks like it always did.
