I just noticed that when I replied to a blog post that if I go full screen, the text box extends beyond the bottom of the screen. I just noticed it does the same thing here. In order to see the bottom I have to go to 50% zoom. I hadn't noticed before since I never typed enough to fill the screen in fill screen mode. I usually just need to use fs when I fill the smaller box. I would then shrink it back down to use the 'Post' button, never realizing it was there in fs mode.

I am using Google Chrome Version 61.0.3163.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

I don't get that, but I'm on Firefox v56 64-bit.

I just checked further and find it only happens when making an original post, not when I hit reply.

Another fascinating discovery! The text area is re-sizable using the bottom right corner. I wonder if I somehow made the initial post window too big.

Edit to add:

Just tried resizing the text box for an initial post and it does some very strange things. When I resized in Full Screen mode, when I shrunk back to normal the text box extended off the right side of the screen. When I resized in normal screen, when I went to Full screen, the box stayed the same size.

Interesting. I just tried it. Everything scales up and down proportional when the box first appears. I increase the scaling as far as I could and the box remained on the screen.

When I go to Full Screen view:

1. The Post button is on top of the screen and remains there when I change the scaling. The button's size changes with the scaling. As the scaling is increased the button moves with the bottom of the screen. If I increase the scaling too high, the Post button is off the monitor's view area and the scroll bars don't bring the Post button back on the screen.

2. The Cancel button is behind the full screen window and remains in the same place as the scaling increases. The button's size changes with the scaling. Increasing the scaling too high covers the button.

The text area is not resizable.

The text area is not resizable.

These things are highly dependent on your browser. Safari, on the Mac, allows you to resize any text area.

Browsers handle javascript and CSS differently. When I'm on my Mac, clicking the 'full screen' never results in the post button off the screen, but I'm not sure about Firefox or Chrome. I don't have the time to test and make separate code for each browser as it's not really an issue. It's easily resolved by clicking 'shrink' when done typing.

I was just making an observation. I personally don't care either way since what I have is more than adequate for me.

That is how I have handled it in the past and will most likely continue to do so, unless I decide to change browsers.

ETA: I tried Firefox, Waterfox, and Opera as well. All gave same result.
