An off subject request

To my knowledge two and possibly more SOL authors live close to the west coast of Florida and are currently in the direct path of Hurricane Irma.

Please commend them to the deity you hold most dear, asking that they and those they love may be spared.

G Younger posted a blog entry earlier today, saying his power was already off early this morning (long before landfall) and he were huddled in a pub, which was the only place with internet access, stating he didn't think he'd be able to make his next chapter post.

I told him not to worry, that his safety was of paramount concern, and his readers would rather get more stories in the future than they'd want him to risk his life. A few days loss is no big deal, but the loss of an author and his stories is much BIGGER deal!

I've been there, telling readers my story would be delayed the few times a hurricane knocked out my power from anywhere from a few days to over a week.

That said, if you KNOW a storm is coming early enough, it's a good time to schedule your next week's postings just to buy yourself some piece of mind. That way, you won't be chomping at the bit and can enjoy your hurricane parties (where everyone gathers at the house of the person who has the most secure house, they bring alcohol and food, and everyone has a grand time watching the hurricane unfold around them (in relative safety)).

Of course, that doesn't really apply with so many 500-year storms in the past three years!

They're trying to catch up, because the last round was 600 years ago.

Or failed to file the proper paperwork, so it had to happen all over again.

A pack of wolves, a murder of crows, a parliament of owls - what do you call six princesses huddled in an Orlando bathroom? Waiting for news of GY and the girls

Depending on how smart they are, a group of airhead princesses would be a burble of bimbos.

They have to be very smart to get that job

No they don't!

A Princess (capital P) is born to a monarch or marries the son of a monarch - no IQ requirements at all.

A princess (small p) is a young woman or teen girl who feels herself entitled to anything she wants and gets upset about not getting her way.

Now, if you said a Disney Princess then you're right about them needing to be smart because they're highly paid actors and ambassadors for the Disney Company.

However, the post said princess in small p, so that's what I responded to.
