I can search the Forum based on keywords.
Would it be possible to add another field, like userid, to the search?
So, for example, I could search the forum using keywords, but only get results for those I posted (if I put my userid in the search. Or someone else's posts if I put their userid in the search).
Are you suggesting the userid of the original poster, the userid of someone who posts a response, or the userid of someone mentioned in a post?
When I am researching an author for a Contributors Page, I typically do a forum search when attempting to determine when the author made there last form post, assuming they participate in the Forum using their penname. So the the userid of someone who posts a response would be useful to me.
If Lazeez implements your suggestion, perhaps he could add a field to give the person initiating the post the choice of the three options I listed above.
The userid that would help find the correct post or thread.
I was searching for my thread on chapter downloads. If I could have put my userid in there (as the creator of the thread), I wouldn't have gotten so many results. And since the results aren't in date order, it's hard to find the right one.
But it could have been a thread someone else created that I replied to.
