Has this ever been done on a large scale? I know spacer did something like this with the MC's aunt basically forming the harem around her nephew but i don't recall ever reading a harem novel were all the girls/women agreed that they wanted to specifically try to reel in a certain family member to base their harem around and the seduction process in doing that.

Note, im not looking for a novel we're all the girls agree to share the mc after he starts dating them, i'm looking for a novel that starts off with all the girls making a deal to go after the mc, making him see them as valid love interest, past the incest, past the age, also accepting a harem in modern day times.

Let's be honest if 4-5 women walked up to you in 2021, asked if you would like a harem and then if those same 4-5 women we're family members it would be unbelieveable (they would literally have to crazy right?) which is why i thought of this story idea.

TLDR: How to make an unbelieveable harem story about family females going after a guy believable.

To put this idea into prospective some more, i think the main female cast would be Stepmom/Mom/Aunt/Sis/Cousin who then makes a pact to seduce and form their family around the "moms" son since hes the only guy they have had good experiences from. They keep the pact a secret while each one of them tries to seduce him in their own way and no one tells him about the pact until it drives him mad or he decides he has to pick one the girls and then dealing with the aftermath of actually having a harem in modern day times.

Would have to be a slow burn but i could see it having massive potential if done right?

It might be worth looking at Lubrican's Gigolo series - the MCs harem includes many family members, and ISTR that some of them have circumstances similar to what you've described.

In mypename3000's 'Incestuous Harem' a teen decides to make his female relatives (Mom, aunt, sisters, cousins) his harem.

Are people really trying to come up with "plausible" scenarios for fictional stories about boys making harems of siblings? Come on, stories are fiction and reality doesn't get a look in!

"Plausible" alternatives to money could be isolation or protection or consolation too.

My beef with harem is that it's written as though the women are 2D objects. I much prefer balanced equal relationships even if they are poly. Just what I'd rather read.

As someone else said, I do not believe there are any plausible scenarios.

The closest I can come up with are the following in descending order of plausibility (none of which are really plausible):

(1) some sort of cult/religious belief in the person and that they are "supposed" to have sexual relations with him to fulfill some prophecy or perceived religious need.

(2) Or a situation where they need to due to some external threat of which they are aware but the main male character is not

(3) Some biological need, such as, for example, a need to ingest his fluids to survive, which could take the form of semen. Some disease or pseudo-vampirism. Again without the MC's knowledge.
