i enjoy reading the lost story section cause it can bring up a forgotten gem i can enjoy again.
I noticed someone looking for Aroslav's Model student and it triggered a memory.
Same setting but i was sure it involved a drafting class with a real tough instructor.
of course the problem is i could be mixing a dozen different stories up in my head after all these years.
Nick Scipio's Summer Camp series has an architecture class with a tough instructor; the MC Paul is paired up with a girl he doesn't really like for a major project, and also develops a summer job buying, renovating and selling homes along with a student friend who has contacts into building contractors. I'm not sure which book, but a couple more details: the circular features on some plans he draughts are Christmas wreaths, and we find that the earliest McDonalds restaurant(s) is Googie architecture.
