As someone who enjoys sprinkling science into their stories, and proposing unusual twists on the currently accepted ideas, time travel has simply never appealed to me. There's really no way to realistically justify it. Most simply fall into the 'wish fulfillment fantasy' camp (i.e. "If I had to live my life all over again, I would have ...").
I find stories about zombies, as unrealistic as those are, easier to justify (I'm currently writing one at the moment). However, I've always appreciated time-travel stories, as they allow one to supplant current perspectives on historic events, giving an entirely new view of history.
Okay, I'll do it.

I understand "Mayhem in a Pill" is an up-and-coming tale with a new(ish) take on time travel. However it is in the process of posting and the writer is one of those asses whom doesn't have a set schedule for posting.
P.S. I understand the author is also very handsome but that is neither here nor there.
Lol hey Shiner, just wanted to say I like what I'm reading so far but man you gotta be more regular! Otherwise I'm gonna give up for the moment and wait till the end of next year or something like that and then read it all at one go. ;-)

Are you after do-over stories where someone travels back into their own past, ot just any story involving time travel? I ask, because I've a couple of stories where people get displaced backwards in time to the 1850s USA.
Or if they are just looking for time travel stories. The basic search features will list stories in that genre. Of course its probably wise to use other codes as well to narrow the search down a bit.
edited to add: I just tried that and came up with over 450 stories listed. So probably would definitely have to use other codes to narrow the results down a bit. That is just the ones available on SOL.

If you use either "scat" or "MM", you'll narrow it down a LOT! (Just bein' an ass! 'D)
I am a free user so the search bar just shows 10 stories and most of them are short/incomplete also I just came back to SOL recently after 2 years of inactivity to the site so I checked the clitorides awards and saw/read "a new past" and got me interested to the genra. So any sugestion that has time travel in it will be greatly apprecieated
You might want to check out cmsix and other writers as well. I do know the limits imposed by free membership. That is why I said other codes will narrow the search a bit although not always as nicely as I would have liked. When a story is listed, instead of clicking on it. I click on the writers name going to their individual lists (right click lets me do that in a separate tab or window).

Like I stated above with Ernest being a great example. Under one or more of his used author Names. He has a broad selection of stories with a few in the time travel genre. Of course the others are also well worth reading.
To make the lists even wider try out the "Damsels in Distress" universe stories. Not quite time travel but considering the planet "Chaos" is set to be in more of the middle ages or earlier period. They can be well worth adding.
My search engine is Bing, rather than Google, but when I search using Bing for "storiesonline.net/time travel" I get well over 300 stories from the site. I plan to buy the Premier membership after I sell my house and can afford it.

Nope. That's a rat hole you don't want to go down. While there are many fine authors on SOL, there are also a ton of ones to avoid.
Instead, do like docholladay suggested. Whenever you find a time travel story you like, search for more stories by that author, as authors to tend favor certain genres, and their writing is--generally--fairly uniform in quality.

Just finished doing that. It was a tiring but interesting experience. Found a lot of interesting stories this way.

Excellent writers who do have some good stories. I know I tend to recommend sites and/or writers to people I meet in r/l unless I have a great understanding of what they really enjoy.
edited to add: And where a writer you enjoy has taken advantage of the favorites feature. Check those out as well. You can check them in two ways thanks to the way SOL handles it. My preferred method is to click on the writer instead of the story. I usually get many more information a feel of what the writer's genres are as well.
