My intent is to read Evolutionist, by Fick Suck, copyright 2008. There are a couple of reviews that give the story relatively good scores.
My question concerns something not covered by the reviews: the use of news articles to tell significant portions of the story. Evolutionist is 3rd person.
What if the story were told in 1st person? Would the use of news articles, political speeches, personal letters, sermons, lectures, transcripts, etc., be a legitimate way to weave other viewpoints into the story and thereby broaden it away from the constant use of "I"?
