I just uploaded the first chapter of a story to SOL and disabled voting.
When I proofed the chapter after it was posted, I noticed at the bottom I was able to vote on it. But I disabled voting when I submitted it.
I went into the Manage Stories and clicked on voting. That didn't do anything.
How can I tell if voting is turned off? How do I turn it off it it is not?
OK, when I go into stats it says voting is allowed.
How do I turn it off? (I said to disable voting when I submitted the chapter.)

But when I click on "Voting" it doesn't do anything. It just blinks.
I tried it with one of my stories, and it works (iPad, iOS 14, Safari or Firefox). Must be your browser. Reset browser and restart. Hope this helps.

I closed Safari, reopened it, and clicking on "Voting" still didn't work. Then I tried it on Chrome and it did not work.
I recently upgraded the OS on my Mac Book Pro to Big Sur 11.01. But I find it hard to believe that's it.
Just tried on iMac, Mohave, Safari, still works. MBPro, Catalina, Safari also works. Could be a glitch under BigSur. Best contact Lazeez.
As always, ask Lazeez. Just mentioning his name will likely get an official response, without having to repeat it three-times like other wannabe Administrators. ;)
But personally, I've never turned off voting, no matter how many 1-votes I get. I have had to turn off comments—after I got some really abuse ones which I wanted to protect my readers from—but that's an entirely different issue.

It was actually a tongue in cheek reference to certain famous but ultimately cheesy movies, rather than SOL admins.

That's happened to me a couple of times. I wonder whether it's a toggle switch that displays the opposite of what it's set to.
I've resorted to asking the moderator to ensure voting and comments are set to what I prefer.

The agreement about seeing more voting details included not being able to disable voting on your stories.
I've reversed that policy. You can now disable voting if you wish.
