I strolled down to the beach bar that these guys hang out at and he was missing in action... I decided to have a cold one and watch the sunset. By the way, how is the weather up North? They said it was going to drop to the mid-70s tomorrow. Have to run... they just brought my shrimp and grits.

I think my thermometer was broken up here this morning... it kept reading zero degrees. Heat wave over the next few days, though; it'll be in the 40s.

Yesterday it was -26°C here (-15° F for the metrically challenged). Today it's a balmy -6°C (21°F).

It's so nice today, t-shirt only day.

Yeah! spent a winter working outdoors when it got up as high as that - shorts, gloves and boots when the sun shone. Babill moaned like hell because she had to wear a bikini top but the British girls were done up like Inuit! Best winter of my life and got paid for it!

Yes and at least 10% antifreeze, commonly called booze, in the circulatory system.

Where I am in the Riverina District of New South Wales, Australia the forecast for today is - Sunny with temps 20 C to 36 C - - but plan to come for a visit on Friday where the forecast is for temps of 20 C to 43 C with some showers. NB: Today is Wednesday morning here right now.

I'm about to leave wintery Japan (0-9c) which I love, for the sweaty arse-crack of tropical Australia, where I can look forward to highs of 35c with 90% humidity.

Today global warming is out in full force here.

The normal temperature here at this time of year is -20°C. Today it's sunny, +6°C and beautiful. Totally abnormal for this time of year. Usually, if it's sunny, it's really cold. If it's warm it's cloudy and grim with lots of precipitations. Total opposite today.

Tomorrow is going to be even warmer with lots of rain, so lots of flooding as the snow melts and clogs drains.

Crazy!

I can relate. We had about a foot over the weekend and today the yard is mostly green. Unfortunately this is a rural area so all runoff goes into the drainage ditches until they are full, then it's flooded roadways. At least the sun is shining and the temp is comfortable.

Totally abnormal for this time of year.

It's called winter for the same reason they're called the enemy. It does unpredictable things.

The high today was 76F, and it was 71F at 8PM CST when I was coming home from work. It's supposed to be 31F at 8AM CST tomorrow morning when I go back IN to work. Oh, and we're expecting an ice storm for Friday...

Very strange in Europe - some ski resorts reported as having no snow but that has just changed with some deaths from cold. Photos of the Adriatic Sea frozen.

Here in southern UK has been unusually warm (around 10°C) but cold blast coming with threat of snow tomorrow.

80 degrees (Farenheit for y'all) in Texas which is very abnormal

@hillwig

I also wonder if there is any word on Cold Creek. The Dman series is one of the best stories ever.
