Hi all!
Well the new project is well underway and it has now got a title. Chapter 2 just went out to the editors. Chapter 1 came back and the editors think the new story will fly. So, let us hope you like it too. LOL!!! I am Starting chapter 3 as I am writing this blog entry.
Otherwise, things are getting interesting around here. We had the first frost of the season and there are a few surprises, like the wildflowers in the Namakqualand region of Namibia and South Africa, along the West Coast, has started to bloom. Way to early. It usually blooms during the end of August and beginning of September. This year it started very, very early.
I am standing corrected, but I have learned that these veld flowers sit dormant until the temperature rise before they germinate and flower. Some of us that do plant these seeds for our gardens here in Gauteng usually place the seeds in the fridge until September rolls around, then plant them, and the rising temperature wakes them up.
There is something very wrong about the wildflowers blooming during winter in their natural habited around the West Coast! Global warming?
Here is Chapter 24 of “Let the River Run.” Enjoy!
Bye for now!
Jody.
