I was ready to work on a couple of stories this week, but my plans got derailed on Monday morning. I was out for a walk with a friend when something happened. I didn't black out, but I got very dizzy and faceplanted on a sidewalk. Okay, not quite a faceplant, my hands and arms stopped that from happening. I didn't break anything, but I strained both wrists and thumbs. BTW, it's hard to type with very sore thumbs. My hands are almost back to normal, but I also bruised some ribs, and that's taking longer to heal.
The worst part of the experience was that it scared the crap out of me. I've never had anything like this happen to me. Okay, full disclosure: I will be 81 next week, but until now I've never felt like a "senior citizen"; now I do, and I hate it.
Anyway, between recovering and watching the Olympics, I haven't got any writing done lately. Maybe next week. I really do need to finish "Cassie".
