HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
New year, same old me.
But I like to make some resolutions each year. Just to give me some goals. But I make sure that they are goals that don’t necessarily rely on outside… anything. People, circumstances, anything that I cannot control.
I don’t make resolutions like “I’m going to get that promotion” or “I’m going to get a raise” or “X number of followers on social media” – I make resolutions that I, and only I, am in control of. Things like “I’m going to take on one extra work project a month” or “I’m going to post content on social media three times every week.”
Things that I actually have complete control over.
So, what are my New Year’s Resolutions for 2026?
1 - I’m going to finish the third “Freya & Friends” novel. It’s about 25% done, but I haven’t touched it in a year! They miss me and I miss them.
2 - I’m going to write a non-erotic novel involving a couple named Jim and Melody. That’s all I’m going to say right now (I don’t want to tip my cards), but definitely stay tuned for that! The plan is for it to be a deep look into the darker side of society with the hope that good can somehow prevail.
3 - I’m going to write an erotic (don’t worry, I haven’t turned my back on porny stuff!) adventure story. It may be 30-50K words. So, a novella of sorts? But I have a VERY crazy idea for this. And if you know me, then you know that crazy means CRAZY!
4 - I’m going to write at least two more Akari mysteries. They are about 10K words each, so not too long. In a really good week, I can write about 10K. It doesn’t happen often, but I’m intent on doing all of these resolutions!!
5 - I’m going to write at least one more Mulier/Sci-fi story. Again, these are around 10K words, so totally doable.
This, of course, is all in addition to my usual writing. I write short stories to enter into contests, sometimes an idea just hits me and I need to write something, editing, and my normal life things that take up my limited time.
So, this all adds up to around…
60 + 50 + 40 + 10 + 10 + 10 = 180K words
That’s almost 3.5K words a week. Crap. That’s kind of a lot. For every single week for an entire year.
Well, that’s my plan and I’m going to do my best to see it through.

Not only will that remind me to keep working on them, it will remind me that someone out there is waiting to read them. For me, writing is a very lonely endeavor, so knowing that someone is there with me really helps.
So, pester me!!
