One of my readers spotted a couple of continuity issues in The Jack Pierce Chronicles. He mentioned two goofs where I'd mentioned something for the first time, for the second time. The Chronicles are over a million words now so it was bound to happen. I'm sure there are others. If you spot a continuity error, or any other error, please send me an e-mail so I can address it.
There are a few errors that are intentional. Here are a few examples.
GPS on Dane's boat - GPS wasn't commercially available at the time and boaters used Loran-C. I used GPS because everyone knows what it is. Does anyone actually remember Loran-C?
Coney Island, by Van Morrison, was used a few years before it was released simply because the song was just too perfect for the situation.
Restaurants - several of the restaurants mentioned weren't around in the early 80s, but some of the restaurants of the early 80s aren't around today. I used current restaurants simply because they're great restaurants and quite a few of my readers have visited Charleston after reading the stories, been to those restaurants and like them as much as I do.
If the location is someplace I think a visitor would like to see, I make sure to keep it real.
Drop me a note. I always answer.
