Thank you for all the positive feedback via votes. Real quick Chapters 7-10 are up. I marked it complete for the base first story though next Friday is the short epilogue that takes place overseas.

Note the magazine articles I cite in Nature and Science magazines, both wrote about the gain-of-function mutation breakthroughs that occurred in early 2011. I can not link articles. I had originally planned to start the story in 2010, but my research showed 2011 when this all really started, the tragic path to the 2020 pandemic. The story will use the timeline as my guide along with other key word events that are important to a prepper (survivalist) community. I visited Thailand and Singapore in 2007 when bird flu (H5N1) continued to spread across Asia, prior to this story, and remember some testing. But this story is not a deep dive into history, I give you enough to make you question and look for yourself, you choose too.
Chapter 10 is not the end, even as the page says at the bottom. I plan to write about the last week of the three week stay or a Christmas visit in the cold. Not sure yet. Again, not a daily or weekly journal.
