Toxoplasmosis? I was always fascinated by that fungus? (it had spores...) that hijacked the ant's motor functions as part of it's reproductive scheme. Different insects have species specific fungal attackers. A form needs to be inside cats to reproduce, so guess what mammalian behaviors it induces in those it infects ? Try being attracted to the smell of cat urine, and being- (Aggressive, fearless, suicidal? in any case messed up.) da da da da da da da... Cat-lady! (or Super-rat! actually better for the fungal scheme.)
A vaccine might cure sexually transmitted plasmidosis that has as part of it's scheme promiscuity, aggression, attention signals (bright colors, provoking behaviors, loud screeching and cries) broad sexual attractant cues, etc. Saw an article, wish I could reference it properly. What if there was a VAX for that? Could we get the cray cray to take the jab? Of course you know, moral living would limit the spread. Perhaps it really does spread in University.
