I am about halfway through the story of my relationship with Pauline, who I got together with sexually at the start of year 11. Even though this is the fifth story I have written for SOL, I still haven't found a pattern that works for me as an author. I have tied posting chapters as I write them. That produces big gaps as other parts of my life get in the way. I have tried writing and posting to a regular schedule. That produces chapters on schedule, but I don't like the pressure to write when I don't feel inspired. So I'm going to post the story of my adventures with Pauline on schedule until I don't, and then subsequent chapters will come out as time (and inspiration) allow.
The other issue is that while each story is (at least theoretically) a 'stand alone', Auckland in the 1960s is effectively a 'separate universe'and the backstory for my adventures with Pauline has become too large and unwieldly to lay out in the story itself. If there are more stories (and I hope there will be), this problem is only going to get worse.
And so - I am going to include advice in the story description that prospective readers start with Uncle Frank, Andrea, Sex and Me, and progress through Bronwyn and Robyn to Pauline. I really appreciate comments, both negative and positive.
