Update - Rock Punk Girl, General

Posted at

I have two more stories to review and edit, titled : Of Queens and Promises Parts 1 and 2, before I get to the final chapter I have physically written for the series currently called "Of Gods and Tigers", which is 34 pages and I'll likely have to break up in 3 parts or so.

After that creativity allowing I'll focus more on the other stories already presently in development. Which shouldn't take long. "Of Gods and Tigers" will have a preview of Aisha in a diferent setting, whilst still in context to the story and not just for it's own sake, which even though tempting I feel defeats the some, somehow. Please let me know your views on this, your experiences on how it's affected you either as writer or a reader in the past, I'd love for you to let me know how it's worked or not.

Expect a lapse in the Rock Punk Girl series after "Of Gods and Tigers" naturally I'll want to focus on finishing/adding to the other stories more, for balance.

I think "The Wicked Few" will go for one more final chapter, before it ends, just as a wrap up.

Sandman's Promise is anyone's guess, I'd like to complete "Traitors Dream" officially at least and lead it up to "Devils Pulpit" as a seperate chapter or just use it within the same chapter as an extreme measure with the context of the excerpt I produced in mind.

I'd like to give "Eric" who debuted in "A Daughters Best" and followed up in "A Grandmothers Best" one more follow up from that series.

I also also have other stories rolling around on the back burner, with less adult themes and more fantasy/science fiction one in mind for some kind of cadence or balance.

One of them "The Black Book" detailing how a future society uses time travel not to send people or machines back like the terminator but finding new and even believable ways of winnning world war X, without ever having to fire single shot.

Another, "Uncrowned" how a older brothers memory is honoured through published books after his passing, detailing a loose interpretation of a DnD-esque like experience but told from the point of view of his younger brother as he relives a campaign with their childhood group of friends portrayed faithfully within his published materials, as both their characters in-game and elements of their real world lending themselves in his published works, to mirror how they'd actually handle the actual module they'd face in real life, had they all been there to finish it together.

Star Revolver, set on a desperate planet; a young man loses his family to raiders in a wild-west, science fiction/fantasy theme, where those with power opress those without, until he's both cursed and gifted with the abilities to take revenge or lose himself completely to the wrathful forms that haunt his every living moment. Twisted remnants of former pioneers on this backward planet who either served a tithe to pay for the right to exist or ate a bullet for their sins make him rue the day he was born and what price he has to pay to burrow their "gifts". The title itself relates to a four-chambered revolver that when it fires produces a muzzle flash not unlike a four-pointed star, even though it's locally known as the "Deadmans Trigger" as the tradeoff to the supposed increased firering rate due to having only four rounds is the two fewer bullets in your chamber you obviously have to spend, which often is famous for costing it's wielder it's life making it an unfavourable weapon unless your a natural marksmans adept to using it and conserving/reloading ammo. The advantage though is that this gun uses.50 calibre, armour piercing rounds which if you line up properly on unsuspecting targets, especially with either a good eye or a scope attached can cause major damage and leave you with some rounds to spare.

Well, until next time.
