After reading a few of the e-mails, one author I had a lot of
respect for pointed some thing out to me.
"This kid is 17 going on 50. Of course some of his words and thoughts were scrambled. Kids brains don't get good impulse control until they are 25 or so. And some make stupid mistakes. And a Few get caught in the middle of youth and adult too soon. "
So I have resubmitted this story after going through carefully and looking for mistakes. I think I got most of them.
But to the readers, I want to say if reading this story is like one reader described, then that's all right with me. He described it as being in a convertible, top down, bright sunny day, driving out in the country and hitting a mass of potholes. The jarring just made him uncomfortable. My advice? Drive carefully. Miss the potholes. Enjoy the story.
