Sometimes ya have to spell it out. IDK means I Don’t Know…and I don’t. And I know that some of you knew that but there are that golden few…me for one…who didn’t know… that. And about Red Balls…. Red Balls were sport shoes before NIKE … ankle high with red rubber circles moulded into the ankle. They were flimsy in the extreme and probably responsible for a great many twisted or broken ankles. I suppose they had a manufacturer’s brand name…IDK…we always called them Red Balls. For me, they were dress shoes. I wore them everywhere…sometimes even to bed. I didn’t get real dress shoes until the St. Johns Centennial…that was the same time I got a tux with tails, a frilly white shirt, a bow tie and a top hat. I painted my Schwinn black in honor of the occasion. I was either in the Seventh, the Eighth or the Ninth grade…I don’t really remember. I got old and my History is getting fuzzy around the edges.OMWAP
