I have a lot of fun writing the rough draft of a story. You know what isn't a whole lot of fun, though? Going over a story, dressing it up, fixing any inconsistencies or continuity errors, and getting all the spelling and grammar taken care of. And you know what really sucks? Realizing that you used certain words way too often and then having to beat yourself over the head with a thesaurus.
I have the final chapter of "Mom's Sleeping Pills" all laid out in front of me, but it's tough to work on a story when your brain keeps telling you that it's finished.
I have two other stories that I have to keep taking notes for, because my brain would rather be working on them than making sure chapter 3 is presentable.
I can promise you this, though: my next story is gonna be completely finished before I release any part of it. I know I'm leaving people hanging after chapter 2, and I hate it. But I promise, chapter 3 is coming. I've already added nearly two thousand words to the rough draft, and I'm not even halfway done. People of Earth, lend me your energy!
