A question to writers past and present.

Have you ever written a story that broke you? By that I mean killed your interest to write anymore. I ask that because I did and have not been able to write past a certain point again.

All the stories I am posting here I did for another site that is long dead. Being an aspiring writer I did a lot of research, tried to learn from people with actual experience, and be as honest as possible in my fiction. Then I went down a rabbit hole and it seems I left my creativity at the bottom.

I wish I could post it here but considering it dealt with someone working to get children out of the global child sex trade there is no way to realistically.

It was a poison pill that I would love to get over, to be able to get into the creative energy I used to flow with, but despite everything I have tried all I come up with is a few dozen pages of character development and then a brick wall.

Has anyone else ever had that "Last story" there was no coming back from?
