Duplicate Titles – The Bigger Question

Posted at

With my sincerest apologies to Sage Mullins, I did not know that there was already a story on SoL with the title “Lightning in a Bottle”.

But after researching it I discovered a few things I’ll share with you, just so you know I’m aware and you don’t have to e-mail me about it.

From: https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html

Copyright does not protect names, titles, slogans, or short phrases. In some cases, these things may be protected as trademarks. Contact the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office, TrademarkAssistanceCenter@uspto.gov or see Circular 33, for further information.

Circular 33 (which is easier to read than copyright law):

The BIGGER question is; would changing the title be better or leaving it as is? Please let me know. It’s only been up for two weeks, but If I change titles, will it confuse people?

I need your input,

Thanks,

Phil
