The new chapters have been sent to the Moderators for posting.
This week's chapters open with Craig and Jorani receiving help from a Tibetan Lama in exile, so they can reach Tibet. They are helped with lodging, equipment, clothing, and transportation in and around Kathmandu.
On the fourth day they are flown to Simikot, an airfield in in northwestern Nepal. From there they travel to Hilsa, a small town on the boarder with Tibet. That night they fly into Tibet in Dragon form to a deserted ancient fort to spend the night. The following day they visit Taklakot for food and other things. That night they fly to the area near the two large lakes near Mount Kailash.
These chapters presented a different challenge. While there were numerous accounts of trips or pilgrimages to the places in the story, there was little agreement between them.
They originated from numerous locations and with various modes of travel, even from the same location. The names of places were often different for the same location, and the distances traveled plus the time required seldom agreed. The distances and names used in the story are the best that I could discover based on maps and the various accounts.
Enjoy these chapters. More next week.
Keep Well,
